If your Samsung refrigerator is showing error code 33E, it means the Ice Pipe Heater has failed. This is the small heating element wrapped around the water fill tube that fills your ice maker.
The Symptoms
- No Ice: The ice maker stops producing ice because the water line is frozen solid.
- Leaking Water: Sometimes the backup of water can spill over and leak into the fridge or onto the floor.
The Fix: Melt and Replace
You cannot reset this error permanently. If the heater is broken, the tube will just freeze again. You need to replace the fill tube assembly.
Step 1: Thaw the Tube
Use a hair dryer on low heat to gently thaw the fill tube (located at the top left of the fridge interior) until the water flows freely again.
Step 2: Install the New Heater
